Nike Zegama ACG Women's Trail Running Shoes
A trusted trail runner takes its rightful place in ACG. And it arrives with some all-conditions upgrades. The light, ultra-cushioned ACG Zegama combines grippy traction and more room for your toes to provide lasting comfort and control on rugged, off-road terrain.
Open-Cell Mono Mesh Upper
The upper of the Nike Zegama ACG utilises open-cell mono mesh uppers that encase each foot in breathable comfort. The updated mesh sheds water more quickly, preventing it from soaking in, keeping your feet comfortable and dry on the trail. Large perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate while releasing built-up heat, creating a healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. The well-ventilated upper provides a constant cooling effect so you can power through any workout with ease. Nike has included a built-in ankle gaiter that seals out dirt and debris, keeping you comfortable and protected. The seamless and stretchy cuff provides a 1:1 fit that's comfortable from the moment you put them on. A traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement for greater stability and control, giving you the confidence to tackle any trail. The Zegama ACG uses a trail-specific last, increasing the volume in the toe box to accommodate natural foot swelling during those long, gruelling runs.
ZoomX and Cushlon 3.0 Midsole
Nike has included ZoomX foam, which delivers the greatest energy return yet for responsive comfort on the trail. The foam absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy-return technology reduces the superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you going for longer. The revolutionary ZoomX foam is manufactured from Pebax, conventionally used in plastic bridges and other moulded parts, yielding cushioning that is lightweight, soft and springy. Until now, combining these three characteristics has proven nearly impossible. Pebax has a lower density than some thermoplastic alternatives, making it lighter, more flexible and more impact-resistant, whilst giving it a higher capacity for energy return. When blown into foam, these properties remain, gifting a lively underfoot feeling that encourages you to run fast. Signalling the incredible resilience of ZoomX, the tiny creases occur on every midsole and do not impact the foam's performance; these beauty marks are a result of the autoclave process, placing the foam under extreme heat and pressure. The ZoomX sheets are then compressed in a Phylon preform, which shapes the midsole parts. Because the special foam is so lightweight (one-third the weight of Cushlon), Nike can use more of it, via an increased stack height, to separate your foot from the ground. This means you get a thick, supportive midsole that will spare your joints as you strike the hard, unforgiving ground. The shoes also include a layer of Cushlon 3.0 foam, offering you the right amount of pop no matter what. It's more responsive and durable than ever, Nike's tried-and-true energy-return go-to.
Vibram Megagrip Outsole
Developed using a Vibram Megagrip outsole, the Zegama ACG from Nike provides extreme grip and traction on the trail. Developed for use on varied terrain, the extremely durable rubber forms a solid bond with the ground, anchoring you in place. Despite abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up to this, deflecting blows and retaining its shape and structure. Traction Lug technology supplies unparalleled traction in variable trail conditions, cutting into the earth for non-slip performance so you can feel comfortable every time you step out.
