Circular Knit Mesh Upper

The upper of the Nike Pegasus Premium has been created from a circular knit fabric that's light and highly breathable, keeping feet cool and comfortable over long distances. Creating an inviting feel, the upper has increased stretch properties compared to previous Pegasus models, especially in sensitive areas of the feet, such as the toes, arch and heel. The added stretch moves with your foot for a comfortable shape and fit throughout the gait cycle. Nike has added perforations in the fabric to increase airflow, creating a healthier environment for your feet to thrive. When temperatures rise, the well-ventilated upper keeps feet cool, allowing you to power through any run. The shoes have a wider forefoot, providing more space for your toes while maintaining fit and comfort. Midfoot webbing provides a snug fit, while more foam in the tongue helps to cushion the top of the foot to reduce irritation. A traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot, reduces in-shoe slippage and enhances support for distraction-free strides.

Nike ReactX and ZoomX Midsole

Providing you with soft, lightweight and durable foam, just like previous models of the Pegasus, the shoes utilise Nike ReactX, allowing you to get even closer to the ground without sacrificing comfort and speed. However, this updated foam delivers the same feathery durability but with 13% more responsiveness, allowing you to push further for longer. ReactX foam reduces the midsoles' carbon footprint by at least 43% compared to previous Nike React foam, helping support the planet. The reactive nature of this clever midsole material absorbs impact and then expels it for a bounce-like effect. Not only this, but Nike have included a full-length ZoomX unit in the midsole. ZoomX delivers exceptional energy return, providing forward propulsion for natural, effortless strides that help enhance your performance. The foam reduces superfluous muscle power, helping prevent fatigue and enhance your running performance. The extra cushioning softens impact, sparing your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving concrete and infusing every stride with the kind of zealous power often elusive in the running world. Sandwiched between the two layers of foam is a full-length visible sculpted Air Zoom unit that propels you forward like never before. Waffle Outsole

Produced using a waffle-inspired rubber outsole, the Pegasus Premium ensures extraordinary traction in varied conditions. The rubber has been modified and combined with high-abrasion rubber, providing a stronger grip on various surfaces while protecting itself from damage and users losing control. The rubber is placed in high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability while resisting heel-strike trauma, providing a reliable, long-lasting running buddy. Wave-like flex grooves also feature on the outsole to supply added traction and flexibility underfoot.
