Sleek Mesh Upper

The Pegasus Plus 2 returns with an upgraded upper, using a a lighter mesh than its predecessor, the shoes offer increased breathability and a sleeker more streamlined look. The new mesh upper encourages cool air to flow continuously while built-up heat escapes with ease, keeping feet comfortable as you train. Through the midfoot Nike uses less mesh to reveal the midfoot containment band, this increases breathability further while the band, improves containment to create a secure hold so you can pick up the pace distraction-free. Nike has modified the forefoot shape to provide a more comfortable and more accomadating feel around the toes, this also allows the toes to splay for a more natural feel and better stability. Niek has included reflective elements throughout the upper to enhance visibility in low-light conditions so you can run early in the morning or at night safely. A traditional lacing system completes the upper locking in the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement for comfortable strides.

ZoomX Midsole

With even higher energy return than the Plus, the Pegasus Plus 2 delivers a smooth, energised ride for everyday runs. Superlight ZoomX foam offers a springy feel, keeping you comfortable, focused and prepared to tackle every mile. The lightweight foam helps power you through each step, maximising speed by delivering an exceptional 85% energy return, helping you run further, faster while slowing the rate of fatigue. ZoomX is extremely soft to provide you with excellent levels of in-shoe comfort and provide feet with optimal underfoot cushioning for distraction-free strides. This thick, supportive cushioning absorbs shocks instantly, sparing your joints from impact when striking hard, unforgiving surfaces for distraction-free, comfortable strides. This has been combined with an an exposed forefoot Air Zoom unit for greater propulsive sensations. On impact, the unit compresses, through your next stride the absorbed energy is then released giving you an added spring to your step. Its curved geometry provides smoother transitions through the gait cycle for a more efficient run.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Completing the Pegasus Plus 2 has a high-abrasion rubber outsole to provide outstanding traction and durability on changing terrain when running. This iteration uses an updated Waffle design which features a diagonal pattern and sharper edges to improve zonal traction and ground feel. Flex grooves have also been included to allow your foot to move more naturally, while increasing ground contact for better grip and stability in changing conditions. This durable rubber compound ensures strong grip and durability to preventing damage from changing surfaces while simultaneously protecting you from losing control and slipping when running. Extra-durable rubber is provided in high-wearing areas, ensuring you remain confident in your shoes and enhancing the shoes' longevity.
