Designed for protection in harsh environments, the Rab Microlight Alpine jacket is perfect for outdoor adventures. Utilising Pertex Quantum technology, the outer layer of the jacket is exceptionally lightweight yet durable, designed to withstand extreme conditions. Pertex Quantum is both windproof and breathable, ensuring a balance of temperatures within the jacket for long-term comfort. The fabric is crafted from NetPlus yarn, which is made from fully traceable post-consumer recycled fishing nets. The durable nature of the fabric works to give you peace of mind on tough ascents, and it provides lightweight abrasion resistance so you'll never have to worry about tears. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish has been coated onto the jacket to increase the water repellence for dry comfort. Within the fabric is 700-Fill Power (FP), recycled down to offer unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. The down is treated with a Grangers hydrophobic finish, which prevents water from penetrating the jacket and helps maintain its overall integrity. For targeted warmth, baffles have been implemented into the design with nano baffles under the arms for improved mobility and micro baffles located on the back, shoulders and front for optimised warmth.

The jacket has a regular fit, with articulated sleeves to allow for enhanced mobility and unrestricted reach when climbing or bouldering. To provide added protection, an adjustable hood can be used to shield your face when the weather takes a turn for the worse. In addition, the hood features a wired peak, which allows you to find a perfect fit. The cuffs have been elasticated for lightweight heat retention, while the hem has a drawcord running within to personalise the fit and effectively entrap heat. A front zip exists for complete temperature control; it can be worn up to seal in the heat and zipped down to release an intolerable heat build-up. Multiple pockets have been added, including two hand-warming pockets on either side, a chest zip pocket for secure storage of small valuables and an internal drop-in pocket to stash things on the go. When the jacket is no longer needed, easily stuff it into one of the pockets for compact carrying, with a loop to attach it to your harness.
