Ronhill Reverence SL Men's Trail Running Shoes

A super-light, stripped-back version of the Reverence. This is an athlete-led product that builds on the success of the Reverence but offers a narrower race fit in a super-lightweight, lower-to-the-ground package.

MATRYX Micro Upper

The upper of the Reverence SL has been created from reinforced Kevlar for ultimate coverage and protection against the trials of the trails. Matryx Micro uses lighter, finer yarns of Matryx weave, providing a highly breathable structure at a lower weight. Kevlar yarns have been used through the midfoot and forefoot to enhance durability and lockdown. This zonal one-piece upper utilises Matryx's patented technology; each fabric has been designed to meet the demands of each zone of the shoe, reducing weight, potential failure points and chance of irritation to the foot. A gusseted tongue improves midfoot lockdown while preventing dirt and debris from entering the shoe for a distraction-free run. Notched laces have been included to provide secure lockdown and lower the number of times you tie your laces during races. The shoes have a more precise-fitting version of Ronhills True-Fit last, which still allows the big toe to splay into a natural position while providing a more agile feel. A minimal tongue and collar reduce water uptake in wet conditions, while the sewn-in sockliner improves ground feel and allows quicker drainage. The upper is finished with a sturdy heel cup for excellent levels of stability on technical terrain.

Super Critical Foam Midsole

Built with a super-critical EVA foam midsole, the Ronhill Reverence SL delivers high levels of energy return and durability. Thanks to the EVA midsole, the shoes provide a reactive ride while still offering a cushioned, supportive landing, making this pace-pushing shoe built for performance on the trail. The midsole provides a soft, bouncy base to push off from. This is combined with the race-specific rocker geometry, guiding you through the gait cycle for a more efficient run. The foam absorbs impacts as you hit unforgiving, trail surfaces, protecting your joints and reducing the risk of injury. The midsole provides plenty of flexibility for better ground feel for a more natural run.

OCX3 MICHELIN Outsole

The outsole of the Reverence SL is crafted from an OCX3 compound from Michelin. It stands for 'Outdoor Extreme Compound 3' and is an extremely sticky rubber compound that offers excellent traction on wet surfaces with great durability on soft ground and mixed terrain. 7mm lugs bite into the ground, providing great traction on off-trail surfaces and muddy terrain. The outsole excels on loose, soft, rugged and rough surfaces, so you can be ready for whatever the trail throws at you. Fiberlite Technology has been added to the outsole, reducing the outsole's overall weight while maintaining the same performance.
