The North Face Altamesa 300 V2 Women's Trail Running Shoes
The Altamesa 300 V2 Trail Running Shoes are lightweight, versatile trail shoes for runners of all levels and abilities.
Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper of the Altamesa 300 V2 is crafted from a lightweight engineered mesh, making the shoes highly durable and breathable. Perforations in the upper allow cool air to circulate through the shoes, while built-up heat escapes, keeping feet cool and comfortable, and you focused on the path ahead. The shoes have an updated heel collar that offers more padding for enhanced comfort and heel lockdown, working in conjunction with racing laces with serrated edges to find the perfect fit. The serrated edges of the laces prevent them from coming undone, allowing you to run without stopping and starting. A lightweight tongue sits comfortably against the foot, and its stay-in-place wings are integrated into the internal dust liner, preventing debris from entering. A lightweight reinforced toe cap improves the shoe's durability while preventing injury from sharp objects on the trail. Completing the upper are midfoot webbing reinforcements, furthering durability, keeping the shoes in top condition for longer.
Ultralight EVA Foam Midsole
Providing a soft feel underfoot, the midsole of the shoes uses an ultralight EVA foam. This midsole compound provides high-energy return at a reduced weight while being incredibly durable. This foam instantly absorbs shock as your foot strikes the hard, ever-changing ground of the trails, protecting your joints and feet from injury. The energy is then used as rebound to propel you into your next step, slowing fatigue and allowing you to run further, faster.
SurfaceCTRL Outsole
Designed to be hardwearing and grippy, The North Face has used a SurfaceCTRL Outsole for the Altamesa 300 V2. This bio-based outsole rubber compound has been specially designed to ensure superior traction on both wet and dry surfaces. The rubber provides multi-directional traction on varied surfaces to withstand the toughest trails. The rubber is flexible enough to adapt to multiple terrains for complete control while protecting itself from damage and users from losing control and slipping. The shoes feature a wider base than the previous model, enhancing the soles' surface area for increased stability. Completing the outsole are 4mm chevron lugs that provide the optimal balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by providing a solid base to push off from when taking a stride and digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
