The Hike Utility Jacket from The North Face has been created with its own FLASHDRY Technology to keep you dry and comfortable throughout your adventure. The fabric acts like a second skin, wicking sweat and moisture away from your body and transporting it to the outer layer for quick evaporation. Microporous particles increase surface area to move more moisture at once; the technology is embedded in the yarn so it never wears off, even after multiple washes. The jacket is coated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish to provide weather protection in light rain and snow showers. Taking weather protection a step further, The North Face added an elastic-bound hood to prevent the elements from entering your eyes and blurring your vision; it also traps heat when up to keep you toasty on chillier days. When not in use, the hood can be stored in the high collar. For easy on/off, the jacket has a full-length zip that also assists with ventilation.
