Topo Specter 3 Men's Running Shoes

Topo's first model in their Pro Series, the Specter 3, introduces a completely new underfoot experience designed for tempo sessions, faster long runs and days when you want to pick up the pace.

Mesh Upper

The upper of the Topo Specter 3 has been constructed from a mesh that is lightweight and highly durable. Although lightweight, the material protects your feet from knocks and scrapes while keeping them looking at their best for longer. Perforations throughout encourage cool air to circulate while built-up heat escapes, keeping feet cool and creating the perfect microclimate where feet thrive. A roomy toe box helps toes splay naturally, providing a more comfortable and natural feel while increasing stability as you move. The upper is narrower in the midfoot and heel to lock in the fit; this combines with a traditional lacing system that secures the midfoot and prevents in-shoe slippage. A soft, padded tongue completes the upper, which sits close to the foot to increase comfort.

Utilising Topo's new high-energy foam, the Specter 3 provides plenty of underfoot cushioning while being able to keep the weight impressively low. For the 3rd iteration, Topo has increased the foam in the midsole unit, using 39 mm in the heel and 34 mm in the forefoot for protection when striking hard, unforgiving surfaces. The shock-absorbing properties help prevent discomfort and injuries by absorbing impact when striking tough terrain. The energy is then returned as rebound, propelling you forward, for an added spring to your step. Although softer and lighter than previous foams, the shoes provide a bouncier, more responsive feel that propels you into your next step so you can run faster for longer. A redesigned rocker geometry encourages quicker transitions and a faster toe-off, while the lightweight ATPU insole adds another layer of rebound directly beneath the foot.

Rubber Outsole

Engineered using an updated, highly durable rubber outsole, the Specter 3 ensures traction on varied surfaces and conditions. The design uses more rubber through the forefoot to increase surface area, which increases grip and stability even on wet surfaces. The durable rubber protects itself from damage and users from slipping. Placed in high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability and resist heel-strike trauma, for a reliable, long-lasting running partner.
