The Gore Windstopper membrane is an ultra thin protective layer which is laminated to a lightweight textile layer, making it totally windproof. It is made of the versatile polymer PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) which is expanded to create a microporous structure. These micropores are 900 times larger than water vapor molecules, allowing perspiration to pass through unhindered. The totally windproof, yet extremely breathable membrane blocks the wind and allows vapor to escape. This combination of protection and breathability minimizes the wind's chilling effect while reducing the risk of overheating when you are active. A durable outer fabric treatment provides you additional protection of water repellency, so you are ready for whatever the weather throws at you.
As well as the windproof and water resistant properties, the R3 Windstopper Pants also have medium thermal protection, which is ideal for keeping you warm when the temperature drops. The comfortable elastic waistband creates a comfortable and secure fit and allows for easy on and off. 2 side zip pockets can be used to store your essentials, whilst reflective details improve your visibility in low light conditions. Pre-shaped knees provide a comfortable, unrestricted fit as your clothing choice should never inhibit your movement. Finishing off the R3 Windstopper Pants are zippers at the lateral hem which allows easy on and off with shoes.
