Former European Mountain Running Champion, Emmie Collinge is the Team Manager and mentor behind the Pro Alpine Trail Team, bringing years of elite mountain running experience, success and hard-earned perspective to the team.

A specialist in short, steep uphill races and Vertical Kilometres, Emmie has competed at the highest level of mountain running, becoming European Champion in 2016 and a World Championship silver medallist in 2015.

Injuries and setbacks have shaped her approach to performance, with her focus now firmly on building a sustainable future for the next generation of elite trail runners. When injury-free, Emmie remains a formidable force on steep mountain terrain.

At just 20, Amelie Lane is one of the emerging young talents in British mountain and trail running. A five-time GB U20 mountain running international, she has already competed on the world stage, finishing fourth at the U20 World Mountain Running Championships and winning the Young Race at Marathon du Mont-Blanc.

Specialising in 10K and Vertical races, Amelie thrives on short, steep and demanding mountain terrain. As part of the Pro Alpine Trail Team by SportsShoes, she is hungry to learn, improve and establish herself among the next generation of elite trail runners.

Based in Andalusia, Spain, Vanessa Caba is a high-level trail runner specialising in marathon-distance mountain racing. Alongside her competitive career, she is a PhD-qualified psychology researcher studying sports psychology, bringing a thoughtful and measured approach to her training and racing.

A Spanish national team runner, Vanessa has built an impressive record across some of Europe's most demanding trail races, including victories at Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB and Reventón Trail El Paso. In 2026, she has continued to establish herself as a strong marathon-distance trail runner, with top-11 finishes at Transgrancanaria, Transvulcania and South Downs Way 50K.

Based in France, Lucie Meyer combines her career as a sports nutritionist with her passion for competitive trail running, working with professional athletes across cycling, trail running and triathlon.

Drawn to long-distance mountain racing, she brings a strong understanding of performance and nutrition to her own training and racing. From 10K and half marathon to marathon-distance trail races, Lucie is an all-rounder who thrives on long climbs and challenging mountain terrain. Still early in her trail career, she is hungry to progress and establish herself among the next generation of competitive trail runners.

Elisa Sortini is an elite Italian mountain and trail runner with a formidable reputation in short, steep and technically demanding mountain races. A regular member of the Italian National Team, she has competed at World and European Championship level and has established herself as one of Italy's leading uphill specialists.

Known for her strength on steep climbs, Elisa combines speed, power and experience across Vertical Kilometer and short-to-medium distance trail races. With a UTMB Index of 716 and multiple major European race victories to her name, she brings an exceptional level of experience and competitive ambition to the Pro Alpine Trail Team.

Madlen Kappeler is a German professional endurance athlete who combines elite trail running with a background in middle-distance triathlon. A professional triathlete since 2024, she turned her focus to trail running in 2025 and quickly earned selection for Team Germany at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Canfranc, competing in both the Uphill and Classic races.

Versatile across short, steep mountain races and longer trail distances, Madlen brings a powerful combination of endurance, climbing strength and competitive experience to the Pro Alpine Trail Team.

Based in Interlaken, Switzerland, Natalina Neuenschwander is an elite Swiss trail and mountain runner specialising in long-distance races across technical alpine terrain.

Her background in endurance cycling, including a 600K non-stop ride around Switzerland and an Everesting challenge at just 19, has built exceptional stamina, resilience and mental strength. Now focused on competitive trail running, Natalina races primarily across the 20–50K range, with a particular strength in long mountain climbs and sustained efforts.

A winner at Eiger by UTMB and Julian Alps by UTMB, she brings an endurance mindset and deep connection to the Alps to the Pro Alpine Trail Team.
