Breathable Recycled PET Mesh Upper

Lightweight and lean, the VivoBarefoot ESC Tempest offers a less shoe, less weight experience for enhanced speed and freedom to move. Following the natural shape of the foot, the recycled PET mesh upper encourages natural human movement flexing with the foot for as little interference as possible. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper to create a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. The increase in ventilation ensures your feet remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh, lining, and laces are constructed using recycled plastic waste from the oceans; the Tempest boasts sustainability and animal free products and processes as VivoBarefoot work towards protecting the environments that you love to explore. Quick drain zones adorn the upper, channelling water out of the shoe for quick-draining and faster dry time, the Tempest ensures minimal wet weight for maximum speed. A ankle sock offers a snug, supportive fit ensuring the full ankle has unrestrained mobility when in and out of water and over tricky terrain, whilst keeping out the grit and debris of the trail. Completing the upper is a quick lacing system which locks down the midfoot.

EVA Bloom Midsole

Not only does the midsole of VivoBarefoot ESC Tempest Swimrun Shoes incraese underfoot cushioning but, it also works to aid flotation so you'll never feel dragged down. The midsole provides lightweight cushioning underfoot which in turn reduce the stress placed upon the feet and the joints. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The EVA bloom is also better for the environment than standard EVA. The high performance foam cleans and restores the environment when harvested making it more environmentally friendly than alternatives.

Sticky Rubber Outsole

Developed in collaboration with Michellin, the outsole of the VivoBarefoot ESC Tempest Swimrun Shoes is designed to provide supreme traction over varied terrain. The tough and durable rubber outsole works to keep your footing stable on uneven and wet terrain. Ideal for any type of swim run adventure the durable nature of the rubber will support you over tough terrains and give you peace of mind. This outsole delivers unprecedented traction and grip across all surfaces. Multi directional lugs also feature on the outsole to assist when braking and changing direction.
