The adidas Adizero Prime X3 Strung pair innovative technologies to create a lightweight, cushioned running shoe for chasing your personal best outside of a racing capacity. A tuned Strung upper supports the foot, and the three-layer Lightstrike midsole maximises comfort. A top carbon plate paired with carbon fibre-infused ENERGYRODS 2.0 fuels every stride with forward energy while reducing weight for chasing speed.

adidas Strung Upper

The Adizero Prime X 3 features an upper constructed with adidas' Strung technology, which offers flexibility, breathability, and support. Strung is an innovative textile that translates athlete data into a dynamic material tailored to your specific needs. The Strung upper is designed with layered strengthening in crucial areas, providing enhanced durability in the midfoot and heel. This technology allows for precise mapping and programming of different fibre properties, thread by thread. Targeted flexibility in key areas across the forefoot creates a flexible, lightweight, and seamless "cocoon" feel around the foot, optimising comfort and support with every stride. Perforations in the fabric promote airflow, allowing cool air to circulate while warm, humid air escapes. The fabric feels like a lightweight second skin, offering a supportive and comfortable fit. This construction creates an ideal microclimate for your feet, ensuring breathability as temperatures rise or your training intensifies. The upper is made from light and thin materials to ensure a lightweight, locked-in feel, providing minimal weight and maximum performance. A knitted tongue further enhances the supportive and secure fit, while the textile lining provides softness for step-in comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot, reducing in-shoe slippage for distraction-free strides.

Lightstrike Pro Midsole

Designed to provide complete comfort from the moment you put them on till the moment you take them off, the adidas Adizero Prime X 3 have been constructed using three layers of Lightstrike Pro, more than in any other adidas running shoe, creating a stack height of 50 mm. Lightstrike Pro cushioning spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces, whilst propelling you forward to provide you with explosive movement and enduring speed. The light and springy ride supports your feet through the gait cycle whilst remaining as lightweight as possible to ensure you can reach new PBs. Also residing in the midsole is a top carbon fibre plate that provides a smooth transition during the gait cycle. The carbon plate has been designed to create more responsiveness throughout your run and help propel you into your stride. Complementing the carbon plate is adidas' carbon-infused ENERGYRODS 2.0 technology, which supports your foot as you run and helps to limit energy loss, helping you to push further for longer. This technology is all in one piece for harmonious stiffness and energy return.

Lighttraxion Outsole with Continental Rubber

Developed using a Continental and LIGHTTRAXION rubber outsole, the Adizero Prime Strung X 3 ensures extraordinary traction in wet and dry conditions. Inspired by tyre technology, Continental rubber located on the forefoot supplies you with an amazing and secure toe-off on uneven surfaces, giving you no excuse not to run. The rubber construction of the outsole is highly durable, resisting wear as it comes into contact with the ground for longer-lasting wear. LIGHTTRAXION rubber also features on the outsole to provide optimal traction whilst reducing weight to help you take corners at a fast pace, so you can achieve your best performance.
