Lightlock Upper

Made to naturally contour your foot, Lightlock technology is a unique 1-way stretch material, aimed to achieve balance between comfort and optimised performance. The upper is highly breathable, allowing air to flow effectively around the foot due to perforations within the material. Warm stuffy air escapes from the shoes, leaving room for cool air, providing a fresh feeling. The upper includes a padded, gusset type tongue which provides a comfortable and snug fit, laying flat against the top of the foot, whilst minimising irregular shifts in the shoe structure. To conclude the upper, traditional lacing systems have been used to effectively lock down the midfoot securely while a heel tab can be found on the back for easy slip-on to get you up and out.

Lightstrike Pro Midsole

Utilising their Lightstrike Pro foam, adidas have prioritised giving you an ultra lightweight yet responsive feel when you slip into the Adios 9s. Your joints are protected from the hard surfaces below due to the foams absorbing factors, that effectively soak up the impact before releasing it within the following strides. The light and springy ride supports your feet through the gait cycle whilst remaining as lightweight as possible to ensure you can reach new PBs. A stiffening element integrated into the midsole supports fast transitions and allows you to utilise the energy from your last step to spring you into your next one.

Rubber Outsole and Continental Rubber

Combining two components, adidas ensure grip is provided while keeping you light on your feet. The rubber outsole spans the majority of base of the Adios 9s, ensuring you have confident grip over dry paths and rain slicked roads alike. This rubber assists in high traction cornering and braking. The continental rubber has been strategically placed over the toe section of the outsole, to provide excellent toe-offs when it matters.
