100% RPET Ripstop Mesh Upper

Created with a ripstop mesh upper, the Lone Peak 9+ GORE-TEX offers greater durability, helping protect it from bumps and scrapes on the trail. This upper is also highly breathable, allowing vapour and built-up heat to escape, keeping your feet feeling cool, dry and comfortable even when the run heats up. A GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane also resides in the upper, which works to keep feet dry in wet and changing weather by preventing water from entering the shoe, thereby helping to reduce the risk of wet, soggy feet. Not only this, but the shoes have durable no-sew overlays for increased protection and high mileage. Altra's Original Footshape Fit provides room for your toes and space in the midfoot, giving a familiar Altra feel. GaiterTrap attachments allow you to add your Altra gaiters to the shoe effortlessly, ensuring added protection against mud and trail debris. Finishing the upper of the shoes is a lacing system that provides a more secure fit across the forefoot, reducing in-shoe slipping, whilst heel pull tabs assist in putting the shoes on and off.

Altra EGO Midsole

Featuring updated Altra EGO midsole foam, this new iteration of the Lone Peak provides exceptional comfort and connection to the ground for a stable but flexible and well-cushioned ride. With a stack height of 25mm, the GORE-TEX version of the Lone Peak 9+ offers the perfect amount of cushioning and durability in the midsole for a comfortable feel on any trail. The midsole contains many areas with features that provide the shoe with extremely responsive rebound and cushioning, and sits directly underneath the foot, reducing ground impact and returning the energy as a spring for each step that you take. Thanks to Altra's Balanced Cushioning platform underfoot, the heel and the forefoot are the same distance from the ground, encouraging proper low-impact form throughout your trail run. Lastly, Stoneguard technology provides underfoot protection on the trail, over rocks, debris and tough terrain. This helps to keep your feet stable, flexible and protected throughout your run.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Now utilising a Vibram Megagrip outsole, the Lone Peak 9+ GORE-TEX offers unparalleled grip on both wet and dry surfaces. This high-performance rubber is expertly designed for trail runners wanting a super grippy and reliable outsole that will help them tackle trails of any distance on any terrain. Providing great durability, the outsole is built to last over long distances whilst keeping you feeling stable, confident and in control with every step, maintaining an optimal balance between stability and flexibility for ground adaptation.
