Altra Vanish Tempo 2 Men's Running Shoes

Lightweight, plated, and made to deliver supernatural performance. Tap into your natural power in a shoe built for speedy tempo runs and starting-line confidence.

Engineered Mesh Upper

Wrapping feet in breathable comfort is the lightweight engineered mesh. Its soft feel prevents rubbing and discomfort, allowing you to focus on what matters. Perforations throughout the upper encourage cool air to circulate while releasing built-up heat, keeping you comfortable as you push yourself to your limits. The shoes have a Race FootShape Fit; this provides room for your toes with a snug midfoot. This allows your feet and toes to splay and sit more naturally, enhancing the power and stability you need for fast, long-distance running. A padded heel and soft lightweight tongue provide instant step-in comfort. This combines with a traditional lacing system and an independent bottom eyelet so you can tighten your laces without constriction, for midfoot lockdown with unlocked toes.

Altra FAST TRN Midsole

The midsole of the Vanish Tempo 2 sees Altra's new foam compound take over from the previously used Ego Pro. The dual-layer of supercritical foam is exceptionally responsive, with pillowy soft landings and a more energetic toe-off. While striking the ground, the foam absorbs energy and uses it in your next stride, propelling you forward and increasing speed. Not only does it absorb the impact to propel you forward, but it also helps dampen shocks, which in turn reduces stress on joints and prevents injuries. The midsole includes a split PEBAX plate that is built for propulsion while still allowing natural forefoot movement. The shoe's midsole is designed for faster sessions, tempo runs and longer efforts at quicker paces.

Durable Rubber Outsole

The shoes use a rubber outsole that provides an abundance of grip and flexibility underfoot. The outsole is highly durable, so you can run miles and miles without worrying about wearing out quickly. This rubber compound provides great traction on a range of road running surface types, so you can stay focused on the run ahead.
