Breathable Mesh Upper

Allowing a constant flow of air in and out, the breathable mesh will guarantee that you will always have a comfortable climate within the shoes. The warm air that builds up within the shoes is able to escape out, where it is then replaced by cooler air from outside. As well as this, moisture from sweat is able to escape out, keeping your feet dry and comfortable over a long period of time. Moisture from sweat is also able to escape out of the shoes keeping you feeling dry and comfortable within the shoes. Using a Footshape toe box, this will provide you with ample room for the toes to splay for exceptional comfort and a natural stride. Firm protection from overlays and thicker material that surrounds the toes will provide protection from heavy impacts as well as from any bumps or knocks. Easy to secure lacing and a soft and cushioned tongue will allow you to find a comfortable fit every time.

Cushioned EVA Midsole

Ensuring that you will feel exceptional comfort on every stride, the EVA midsole will provide exceptional cushioning to help you keep going for longer. Upon every step, the midsole will compress, which will take stress away from joints like the knees and ankles, as well as providing relief to bones in the feet. This will work to prevent injuries from occurring, as well as adding a plush feel when you go through the gait cycle. The midsole will also absorb shocks from below, preventing them from reaching the sole of the feet and causing you any discomfort. This will mean that sharp forces will be prevented from causing any damage. Altra have used their BALNCD level cushioning in the Viho, which will promote proper alignment to encourage a more instinctive foot strike. Within the midsole, the Viho uses Inner Flex, a flex grooves system that will provide you with additional flexibility. This will also work to reduce the overall weight of the shoes.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Built to last, the durable rubber outsole is able to look after itself over the course of a long time. Abrasion-resistant, bumps and scrapes on the road will be deflected away. In addition to this, grip and traction is guaranteed as the rubber can form a strong bond with any surface. Using Altra's Footpod technology, the rubber outsole maps the bones and tendons of the foot, making it bend and move in a more natural way.
