Altra Timp 5 BOA Trail Running Shoes

The Timp 5 gets a BOA lacing system for on-the-go adjustments. With a cushioned midsole and grippy Vibram outsole, the Timp 5 BOA is ready to get wild.

Breathable Mesh Upper

Constructed with a breathable mesh upper, the Altra Timp 5 BOA delivers a snug fit with maximum breathability. The multi-directional mesh offers a sleek ride and is engineered to move and flex with you, no matter where your run may take you; rocks, roots and debris will be no match as the Timp 5 will have you floating over them with ease. Cool air is encouraged to permeate the fabric to remove uncomfortable heat, creating a healthy environment where feet can thrive. Altra's FootShape fit encourages the toes to relax and spread naturally, allowing the big toe to remain straight. The FootShape toe box enhances stability during uphill climbs and downhill descents when out on challenging trails, whilst creating powerful toe-offs to maximise performance. The soft padded tongue will feel soft against the ankle, while GaiterTrap attachment points enable you to add a gaiter to the shoes, acting as a shield to prevent dirt and debris from entering and causing discomfort. Completing the upper is a BOA PerformFit Wrap lacing system that provides easily adjusted and secure lacing. Easy to adjust and release, the lacing system will provide a secure grip on the foot over an extremely long period.

Altra Ego MAX Midsole

Engineered with an Altra Ego MAX midsole, the Timp 5 delivers durable and responsive cushioning at a lightweight, keeping you fast on your feet without compromising comfort. Constructed with inner flex, the grid-like groove pattern provides greater flexibility at a lightweight and with better protection. Ideal for the trail, the multi-directional pattern creates an improved ride when navigating uneven and tricky surfaces. A fully balanced platform places your forefoot and heel the same distance from the ground; Balanced Cushioning provides a natural foot position and low-impact landing, protecting the joints and reducing fatigue.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Completing the Altra Timp 5 Boa is a Vibram MegaGrip outsole that ensures traction and grip on varied terrain. This high-performance rubber compound provides an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The rubber can form a solid bond with the ground beneath to ensure traction and control as you explore the unbeaten path. Zonal rubber placement ensures traction and grip where you need it most, whilst remaining lightweight so you can cut through tough terrain easily. Furthermore, multi-directional lugs adorn the outsole to provide flexible and sticky multi-directional traction as you tackle awkward ascents and daring descents. The lugs ensure additional support and stability so you can continue with complete confidence that your footwear will support any outdoor adventure.
