Engineered Mesh Upper

Encasing feet with a layer of comfortable mesh, the upper construction of the Vanish Carbon 2 provides exceptional breathability and total comfort. The soft design allows your foot to move comfortably, providing more adaptable strides. Not only are the uppers stylish and contemporary, but they also prevent uncomfortable heat build-up, dispersing heat through the perforations. The shoes also have a Slim FootShape Fit, Altra's most slim-fitting option. This allows feet and toes to relax and sit more naturally, giving you the power and stability you need for fast, long-distance running. The upper construction is completed with a lacing system that locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Altra Ego Pro Midsole

The midsole of the Vanish Carbon 2 utilises Altra Ego Pro technology, providing your feet with supreme cushioning and rebound. Altra Ego Pro is used through the construction and is Altra's lightest midsole foam design yet. This allows you to go the distance, whilst providing cushioning in every step, mile after mile. Ensuring feet remain stable, secure and comfortable, the shoes utilise a Balanced Cushioning platform. This positions your heel and forefoot at equal distances from the ground, ensuring a low-impact landing. This zero-drop platform means feet have a more natural alignment with the ground. Additionally, the shoes have a rocker-shape geometry, designed to give the feeling of forward propulsion with every step. This, therefore, ensures you have an efficient toe-off, without it taking anything away from your natural stride. A unique Carbitex carbon plate resides through the midsole construction of these running shoes, designed to flex naturally with your foot, adding boost and propulsion to every stride. Finally, the soft insole allows the foot to sit comfortably inside the shoes.
