ASICS Gel-Odyssey Women's Walking Shoes

The ASICS Gel-Odyssey is one of the most comfortable, durable women's walking shoes on the market. This stylish shoe works as well on the hiking trail as it does for long days spent wandering the city. Technical additions such as rearfoot GEL and the SpEVA foam midsole provide serious cushioning, while the midfoot Trusstic offers plenty of stability on unpaved tracks. Breathability comes courtesy of a luxurious synthetic leather upper, allowing it to also win serious points in the style department.

Synthetic Fibre Leather Upper

The upper of the ASICS Gel-Odyssey Women's Walking Shoes are constructed from a synthetic fibre leather upper which is super comfortable, water-resistant and extremely breathable. The upper provides superb breathable comfort and provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides during intense exercise. Designed with Flexion Fit the walking shoe is engineered to be more comfortable and offers superior support through a form-fitting upper that responds to your every move. Additionally, traditional lacing is added for secure comfort during your walk. The lacing coincides with the synthetic leather and helps to provide a nice wrapped around and locked-in fit, preventing any in shoe slipping from occurring. A mesh tongue and collar enhance breathability further as well as aids next to foot comfort, while an internal moulded heel counter locks the heel in place providing a better fit. A stitch down reinforced toe cap is added to the upper to provide sufficient, durable protection to the toes from trail hazards during walking or trekking.

Gel Cushioning Midsole

The midsole has a variety of features that make this shoe the perfect walking shoe for everyday trails. A gel-cushioning system sits within the midsole and attenuates shock and impact forces from causing damage to the joints and soft tissues in the body. As you impact the body can receive up to 5x its own weight in shock forces, therefore, your joints and muscle need a little help, this is where the gel comes in providing a comfortable and cushioned landing with every step. Additionally, the midsole offers Asics' innovative FlyteFoam technology; 55% lighter than industry standard midsoles the FlyteFoam is super lightweight with super fibres that bounce back into original shape after every stride, offering adaptive cushioning from start to finish. More durable and more resilient, the elite cushioning will provide unprecedented performance for longer. Coupled with a SpEVA foam midsole, a material designed to offer shock attenuation, improve bounce back, and improve durability, you can be confident that the ASICS Gel-Odyssey walking shoe will enhance your performance with every stride. The trusstic system offers superb support and excellent torsional support; keeping the integrity of the shoe whilst reducing weight - walk over tricky and unpredictable terrain with stable confidence eradicating any risk of giving way, potentially causing injury. Finished with a comfort sockliner, a unique dual-layered cushioning system that combines the support of base foam with the slow recovery of lazy foam, for the ultimate, customised insole.

AHAR Outsole

Solid AHAR outsole provides durability and abrasion resistance to the rubber outsole; using materials used for car tires as the main material for the outer sole, and mixing it with a reinforcing material this shoe is made to be put through the paces. Finished with a weight-reducing Twistruss outsole that helps you to step faster and lighter, this ASICS Gel-Odyssey Women's Walking Shoes will be your go-to for any adventure.
