ASICS Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 Women's Running Shoes
The Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 running shoe continues to build on the Gel-Nimbus heritage by providing neutral runners with a lighter design and excellent cushioning. While the first iteration focused on combining a soft and lightweight design, this version builds on that same mindset but creates an even smoother cushioning experience.
Engineered Mesh Upper
Engineered mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the mesh acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. In addition, overlays are added to the construction to provide smooth support without adding weight and bulk. The upper is tightened and loosened in certain areas to allow for the foot's natural motion, working with you as you train for everything from morning runs to challenging marathons. The asymmetrical lacing system provides the perfect comfort and fit, especially in the ankle and heel area; it helps to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth distraction-free strides.
The upper is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
FlyteFoam Midsole
The midsole of the Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 Running Shoes has been constructed using FlyteFoam which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. These layers of protection, bounce, and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. FlyteFoam is the lightest cushioning material ASICS has ever made, 55% lighter than the industry standard, EVA and it buffers against the ground to protect you from unnecessary stress and fatigue. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run, so you can train harder, more frequently, for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. Embedded within the midsole platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, are the Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems. They work to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as your sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete, and allowing for a smooth transition to mid-stance. Completing the midsole is a sockliner which provides added underfoot cushioning for long training sessions.
AHAR Outsole
Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used in the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. This high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. As well as this, a lateral full ground contact on the outsole supplies even more cushioning and durability so you can continue with complete confidence. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces, the flex grooves work with the rubber outsole to provide an abundance of underfoot traction. Completing the outsole is Impact Guidance System technology which enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
