Engineered Stretch Knit Upper

A new Engineered Stretch Knit upper encases the Gel-Kayano 30 in breathable comfort. This supportive upper material helps reduce the need for traditional overlays. It also creates a more comfortable fit with advanced breathability. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. As well as radical ventilation, the construction delivers a premium fit that improves flexibility and decreases irritation-causing wrinkles (because we know how rubbing and blisters can ruin your day) while maintaining its lightweight. A heel counter, secures the rearfoot, helping to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. A lacing system increases midfoot support to ensure a dynamic fit for all-day comfort. Completing this version of the Gel-Kayano is reflective detailing which helps to improve visibility in low-light conditions.

FlyteFoam Blast Plus Eco Midsole

The midsole of the Gel-Kayano 30 Running Shoe has had an upgrade from the previous Gel-Kayano 29 model and has been constructed using FlyteFoam Blast Plus Eco cushioning which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties and is made with approximately 20% bio-based content which helps provide cloud-like comfort in every step. These layers of protection, bounce, and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run, so you can train harder, more frequently, for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. Embedded within the midsole platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, is a newly added Rearfoot PureGEL technology. This works to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as your sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete, and allowing for a smooth transition. The Gel-Kayano 30 features a new 4D GUIDANCE System which helps to improve medial support and midfoot integrity by helping keep your foot from rolling too far inward during your stride. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite X-55 sockliner which offers excellent rebound and cushioning for all-day comfort.

AHARPLUS Rubber Outsole

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. The AHARPLUS rubber is a tough rubber compound used at the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber to ensure complete protection and durability. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces.
