Mesh Upper

Supplying your feet with excellent levels of comfort and breathability, the Gel-Kumo Lyte 2s utilise a mesh upper construction. The perforations within the mesh allow air to flow freely through the shoes to provide you with breathability and keep your feet dry and moisture-free, even during the more intense sessions of your run or training session. The comforting uppers utilise a new stretchy tongue wing that will softly wrap around your foot and help your feet remain centred as you fly through the miles. Finally, a traditional lace-up closure provides feet with a locked-in, secure fit, preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring and keeping you focused on the task ahead.

EVA Midsole

For excellent cushioning during each stage of your training, the shoe has an injected EVA midsole. This cushions every stride, helping to prevent injuries, and keeps feet comfortable, whilst also ensuring the shoes remain durable and enhancing underfoot flexibility. Utilising ASICS' newly improved GEL technology midsole, the Gel-Kumo Lyte 2s have a comfortable cushioning unit that has been reinforced with a bottom-loaded construction to help you experience better shock absorption with every stride. The gel spares your joints from unforgiving surfaces as you pound in the miles. The shoes also have an updated heel construction which is designed to provide more of a supportive fit, with a softer feel. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite sock liner which provides added underfoot cushioning as well as enhanced breathability. The sock liner allows cool air to flow throughout the midsole to ensure your feet remain fresher for longer.

Durable Rubber Outsole

An injection rubber outsole adds lightness and improves durability, while the strategically placed flex grooves are more flexible when you're running or wearing casually throughout the day. The durable rubber used on the outsole of the shoe is abrasion-resistant which will prevent any damage from occurring over a long period of time exposed to hard ground. The rubber compound offers higher densities in high-impact areas of the outsole where the most wear occurs throughout the miles, this helps reduce the wear and tear allowing you to run harder and for longer.
