The Gel-Pulse 17 GORE-TEX is designed to provide the comfort you need for wet weather runs and to and from activities. To improve the underfoot cushioning experience, an extra 2mm of foam has been added to the midsole.

Engineered Mesh with GORE-TEX Lining

The upper of the Gel-Pulse 17 is crafted from an engineered mesh to deliver superior comfort and breathability. TThe mesh allows cool, fresh air to circulate, while simultaneously removing unwanted warm air to regulate temperature and create a microclimate that ensures you remain comfortable during training. Supplying your feet with a waterproof, protective layer, the Gel-Pulse utilise a GORE-TEX membrane. This membrane prevents water, rain, and snow from entering the shoes, keeping your feet dry and protected in changing weather conditions. The soft, padded heel collar and tongue sit close to the foot and ankle to prevent irritation and increase comfort, and lastly, a traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement for a secure fit.

FF BLAST Midsole

The Gel-Pulse has been engineered using an FF Blast midsole, which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. These layers of protection, bounce, and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run so that you can train harder, more frequently, and for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. The midsole also contains rearfoot GEL technology, which absorbs the impact of each foot strike and provides a smoother transition as your foot rolls. This conserves energy and provides soft, bouncy cushioning.

AHAR Outsole

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber is made with a tough rubber compound used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas to help keep the shoe strong from wear after wear. This high-abrasion outsole provides a firm grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, such as the heel plug, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber, for maximum protection and durability. AHAR LO also resides in the outsole to help improve the resistance against wear.
