Engineered Knit Upper

Ensuring a comfortable fit while remaining highly breathable, the Gel-Nimbus 28 features a lightweight, engineered knit upper. The materials comfortably and securely contain your feet to keep you confident across road running adventures and ensure you remain comfortable when things get tough or heat up. The fabric encourages cool air to circulate while at the same time, removing unwanted warm air, helping to regulate temperature and create a perfect climate where feet can thrive. The plush collar lining is super soft for easy step-in comfort from the first step to the last, while the stretch tongue sits smoothly against the foot to prevent irritation caused by rubbing. Heel pull tabs assist in putting the shoes on and off, and completing the upper is a traditional lacing system, which locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement and ensure a secure fit.

FF Blast Plus Midsole

The Gel-Nimbus 28 features an FF Blast Plus midsole for responsive underfoot cushioning. It attenuates shock as you strike down, protecting your joints and muscles, and converts this into a rebound, propelling you forward. This means you can run further and faster, using less energy. Additionally, the shoes utilise PureGEL technology, which has been strategically placed under the heel, for an even softer, more comfortable landing. PureGEL has shock-absorbing properties, reducing stress and impact placed upon your joints, and helping to prevent the risks of injury or discomfort when running. To further ensure underfoot comfort an OrthoLite X-55 premium sockliner has been utilised for cushioning performance and moisture management for a cooler, dryer environment.

Hybrid ASICSGRIP Outsole

The Gel-Nimbus 28 utilises a combined AHARPLUS and ASICSGRIP outsole, which ensures a soft underfoot feel and excellent traction across various surfaces. The AHARPLUS compound provides unwavering grip and is highly resistant to abrasion, offering three times more durability than the previous AHAR material. This high-abrasion outsole protects itself from damage and prevents you from slipping, ensuring complete control through a strong bond with the ground. Complementing this is the ASICSGRIP compound, which is exceptionally durable and maintains stability over both long and short distances, boosting confidence. Grooves are incorporated into the outsole design to maximise underfoot traction and allow for natural foot flexion, enabling easy, unhindered strides.
