The Gel-Task 5 is designed for players who value comfort and support. It offers excellent cushioning and allows natural foot movement, which is functional for practice sessions and casual games.
Keeping you cool under pressure and allowing you to thrive when things get a bit more intense, the Gel-Task 5 features a mesh upper to keep feet cool with constant airflow, preventing feet from becoming uncomfortable or overheating. Synthetic overlays add structure and support, providing you with protection against knocks, bumps and scrapes, as well as enhancing the overall durability. Enhancing in-shoe comfort, the shoes have a soft collar and mesh tongue to sit comfortably against the feet, ensuring confident strides on the court. A traditional lace-up system works alongside the eyelet tape to provide additional support and a locked-in, secure fit, keeping feet secure across the court.
Througout the midsole, the Gel-Task 5 features AMPLIFOAM cushioning, a highly durable foam that remains incredibly bouncy and soft underfoot. This provides enhanced flexibility, comfort, and adaptability, making it ideal for explosive movements around the court. Due to its durable nature, the midsole foam makes these shoes a great daily trainer. The foam will protect your joints when striking hard surfaces while providing a softer, more comfortable feel at foot strike. The TRUSSTIC technology encourages improved stability to help prevent ankles from twisting during turns or quick movement. Completing the midsole is Gel technology, which enhances shock absorption during explosive movements and sudden braking.
The Gel-Task 5 ensures outstanding grip and traction across the court thanks to its durable rubber outsole. This design allows you to make every movement without feeling out of control. The multi-directional outsole pattern offers extra grip, while the rubber's pivot point accommodates sharp turns and quick transitions.
