The ASICS SPEED SOFTSHELL Running Top is designed to keep the wearer warm and dry. Motion Protect technology helps to make the top wind and water resistant, ensuring protection against the elements. The back is soft and stretchable, allowing freedom of movement, making for a more comfortable wear.

The wearer is able to attain 360 degree visibility in low-light conditions thanks to various different reflective features that help to keep the wearer safe. There is a zippered back pocket, ideal for small-item secure storage while on a run. Flatlock stitching is used throughout to minimise the risk of chafing and skin irritation. There are thumbholes on the sleeve cuffs to increase the coverage of the hands as well as making sure the sleeve stays put while moving.
