Synthetic Mesh Upper

Constructed with a synthetic and mesh upper, the ASICS Gel-Sensei 5 provides exceptional support and breathability. The mesh actively and efficiently wicks away the build-up of excess sweat and moisture, leaving your feet cool and dry as you strive for the best results and performance. Additionally, cool air is encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive. Synthetic overlays increase the durability and support of the shoe protecting the foot against fast, lateral movements on the court and increasing stability. A high collar stabilises the rearfoot and ankle offering support during twists and lateral movement, whilst the P.H.F (Personalised Heel Fit) high-density, self-moulding cushioning in the collar provides the perfect shape and personalised cushioning for the heel and Achilles tendon for maximum comfort and reduce irritation. An internal heel counter secures the rearfoot in place to minimise in shoe slippage for a distraction-free fit. A thin, breathable tongue wraps around the foot for a dynamic, breathable fit. The dynamic wrap works in tandem with the traditional lace-up system, wrapping around the foot to lock it in place for a secure, locked-in feel.

GEL Cushioned Misole

I.G.S (Impact Guidance System) technology combines an interlinked set of technical features in the outsole to encourage more natural foot motion. The combination of a Trusstic System and Guidance Line work to increase stability and aid smoother landings. A reinforced middle part of the outsole prevents the shoe from twisting helping to keep the foot in place and aid smooth, natural landings. The vertical grooves of the guidance line run from heel to toe, with the centre of pressure concentrated on these groves stability is increased with enhanced control of motion. A length of SpEVA Foam midsole material resides underfoot to improve bounce-back characteristics and decrease midsole breakdown; the added cushion produces a soft feel and improved comfort for an even, uninterrupted ride. Sitting beneath the SpEVA platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, is the Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System. This clever technology works to reduce shock during the impact phase; sparing your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete, and allowing for a peaceful transition to mid-stance.

AHAR+ Outsole

The AHAR and AHAR+ outsole provides excellent abrasion resistance and durability giving enhanced grip every run. The combination of highly durable rubber material with reinforced material offers unprecedented durability offering the ultimate performance every time; that AHAR has an abrasion resistance that is twice as high as conventional rubber, whilst the AHAR+ three times higher. The rubber on the outsole is also Non-Marking, making it the ideal material for an indoor court shoe.
