Suede Leather Upper

Constructed using a suede leather upper, the Asolo Nucleon Walking Shoes offer a wider range of protection to help you get the maximum from your footwear. The suede leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects, as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. The suede is also water-resistant, providing added protection at all times. A Schoeller softshell has also been used on the upper to provide lightweight protection. These two fabrications ensure increased durability on tough trails, so you can have confidence on tough terrain. The Nucleon has been created with GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear lining that offers non-insulated protection to keep you dry and comfortably cool in moderate to warm conditions and during higher activity levels. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, the GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe, supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling. GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum, and keeping you cool and comfy. A rubber toe cap also protects from loose debris and rocks. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

EVA Midsole

Designed using an EVA midsole, these walking shoes aim to provide you with enough cushioning and comfort to get you through the day. The EVA Midsole provides comfort and protection on uneven terrain, and it resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, absorbing shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from damaging the sole. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, giving you an added spring in your step.

Asolo/Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Designed to provide traction and grip on uneven surfaces, the Asolo Nucleon has been constructed using design technologies from both Asolo and Vibram. Vibram Megagrip offers excellent grip on both dry and wet terrains while maintaining a higher level of durability. This high-performance rubber compound provides you with an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The Vibram rubber is built for extremely slippery terrain as it can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up, deflecting blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. The rubber outsole is designed with low-profile lugs and with lateral elements in the more stressful areas. Lastly, the outsoles' self-cleaning lugs are designed for optimum performance on varied terrain.
