Filled with Berghaus' Hydrodown 850 Fill Power (FP) down, the MTN Arete Ultra Down jacket ensures you are warm through both cold and wet conditions. The hydrophobic down effectively repels moisture and dries quickly, ensuring fresh comfort during use. With the incorporation of Reflect technology, any body heat generated is directed back towards the core, providing lasting heat retention. The jacket has Liquid Crystal mapping for added reinforcement in highly abrasive areas, improving the durability of the jacket against ice, rock and pack damage, while reflective detailing has been implemented into the design to improve visibility and safety in low-light conditions. For effective body-mapped insulation, the jacket has been separated into three zones to optimise both warmth and mobility with minimal bulk; Zone 1 has an offset baffle construction with Reflective technology to eliminate cold spots, Zone 2 features stitch-through baffles for improved breathability where it is needed, and Zone 3 consists of stitch-through micro baffles for improved temperature regulation and comfort. For improved temperature control, a two-way zip runs down the centre of the jacket; this feature allows you to unzip the fit either way to increase the amount of air circulating and can be securely zipped up to stop it. The internal zip guard provides additional protection against the cold.

Other features on the jacket include a helmet-compatible hood, with a wired peak for protection that does not restrict your sight. With a rear point adjuster, the hood can be tightened or loosened to fit better regarding your personal preference or use. The hem is also adjustable, featuring a through pocket and dual adjustment points for ease of use and comfort, as well as being dropped for extra coverage and warmth. Finally, five guide-approved pockets have been added, including two high-hand pockets, one external chest pocket for securing valuables and two internal stash mesh pockets.
