Buffalo Mountain Shirt Jacket

The Mountain Shirt is a single-layer garment which is especially ideal for a multitude of outdoor uses including; winter hill hiking, trekking, winter climbing and general outdoor activities. Tested for over 30 years in the most hostile conditions it is highly respected by all who use it.

The perfect hiking companion, the Mountain Shirt is a cosy, warm and protective layer to shield you in changing conditions. Utilising a Pertex Quantum shell, the jacket will keep you warm in the hills and beyond, providing you with a tightly woven structure for insulation that fully lofts. The shell also has a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish that sheds light rain and snow to provide additional weather protection. Working in tandem with this is an AquaTherm pile lining, further keeping you cosy, sitting softly next to your skin, as well as the exceptional windproof properties of the garment, which supply you with at least 50mph of protection. To ensure you get the best experience from this garment, it is best worn next to the skin. The Mountain Shirt has a close-fitting design, without causing too much restriction. The jacket also has an array of handy features to keep you prepared for the hike, including storm baffles on the neck for coverage in windy conditions and side zips for controlling the airflow when things begin to heat up. The garment has a touch-and-close attachment, allowing you to add a hood (not included), as well as, touch-and-close adjustments for preventing windchill. The scooped-back design of the jacket enhances your coverage. Additionally, the Mountain Shirt has a hand warmer pocket, perfect for storing when things get chilly, and a large front map pocket. A rucksack hipbelt can also be fastened through the hand warmer pocket for ease, and a tape and buckle waist adjuster allows you to make changes to the fit of the shoes.
