TPEE Air Mesh Upper
The Caldera 8 utilises a TPEE air mesh upper for enhanced ventilation, drainage, and abrasion protection. Additionally, cool air is encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive as you strive for optimal results and performance. Furthermore, the reinforced mesh resists scratching and snagging on the trail to maintain comfort without sacrificing performance. The padded and perforated tongue further increases comfort and breathability, while the raised sidewalls add security and flexibility where you need it. TPU toecaps protect the forefoot from rocks and uneven surfaces, and the heel pull tabs assist in putting the shoes on and off. The DNA Loft v3 midsole is a cushioning technology that is soft and comfortable. It carries the footwell and even moulds itself to the shape of the underfoot, allowing the platform to fully support the curvature of the underfoot. The Brooks Caldera has been designed with DNA Loft v3, Brooks' super soft cushioning that has been infused with nitrogen to be as soft, light and durable as possible. The cushioning and support will help to lessen the impact placed upon your joints as well as attenuate shock, minimising the potential risk of injury or discomfort.
TrailTack Green Rubber Outsole
The TrailTack Green Rubber outsole and multi-directional lugs ensure outstanding uphill and downhill traction - even on wet surfaces. The durable, resilient non-skid rubber delivers optimal grip and traction, ideal for technical trails where unpredictable terrain is highly prevalent and is made of 25% recycled material. The outsole features a wider base than previous versions to help increase stability for a smoother heel-to-toe transition, and lastly, flex grooves have been added to increase flexibility to ensure better grip and traction.
