There's no doubt middle-distance runners are tough. That's why Brooks has updated the Hyperion Elite MD 2 to help you race your hardest. Designed for 800m-1,500m, these lightweight spikes combine springy cushioning and an ultralight carbon fibre propulsion plate to power you forward. An aggressive spike design provides just the right traction and keeps you on your toes to breeze past the competition.
Developed by professional athletes for next-level speed to deliver a performance fit and distraction-free comfort on race day, the Hyperion Elite MD 2 features a woven knit upper. The fabric allows cool, refreshing air to circulate, while at the same time removing unwanted warm air, helping to control temperature and create a microclimate where feet can thrive. The upper is also lightweight and flexible, and helps to deliver a snug fit. The streamlined tongue helps to save on weight and prevent irritation caused by rubbing, and lastly, a traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement for a secure and stable fit.
Designed using Brooks' lightest and most responsive midsole yet, the Hyperion Elite MD 2 utilises a DNA GOLD foam to offer exceptional comfort and energy return. The midsole promotes a quick turnover, while precisely tuned layers of cushioning efficiently absorb impact, protecting your joints as you strike down on the track. This updated, and more responsive cushioning helps you maintain a feeling of freshness, even in the later stages of your race. DNA GOLD has been paired with a Carbon Fibre plate, which is engineered to propel you forward for efficient strides, ensuring that your energy expenditure directly translates into speed throughout your race.
Designed for middle distances, the grippy six-pin spike plate of the Hyperion Elite MD 2 is extremely durable and will provide you with an aggressive grip when you need it most. The spike plate delivers an excellent grip, helping you stay in control during mid-race surges and your final kick to the finish line.
