Need speed? Don't miss the Brooks Catamount 4, the perfect trail-running shoes who want to go uphill as efficiently and quickly as they can.
The Brooks Catamount 4 utilises a TPEE single-layer mesh upper for enhanced ventilation, drainage, and abrasion protection. The mesh keeps your feet cool and comfortable by actively and efficiently wicking away the buildup of excess sweat and moisture. Additionally, cool air is encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive as you strive for optimal results and performance. Furthermore, the reinforced mesh resists scratching and snagging on the trail to maintain comfort without sacrificing performance. The flay-laying tongue reduces the chance of irritation caused by rubbing to enhance comfort further. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which ensures a secure, locked-in feel.
Featuring Brooks' updated nitrogen-infused DNA FLASH v2 midsole, the Catamount has a new formulation that is lighter than before, whilst remaining durable. With improved responsiveness and an increased stack height, this update encourages quick turnover and fine-tuned layers of cushioning effectively absorb impact to spare joints as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces. This updated lighter and springier cushioning helps you to feel fresh, even late in the run. Also residing in the midsole is a SkyVault propulsion plate that provides the responsive drive you need to summit peaks and push the pace. It is tough enough to ensure your feet are protected from rocks and roots whilst also enhancing uphill efficiency.
The TrailTack Green Rubber outsole and multi-directional lugs ensure outstanding uphill and downhill traction - even on wet surfaces. The durable, resilient non-skid rubber delivers optimal grip and traction, ideal for technical trails where unpredictable terrain is highly prevalent and is made of 25% recycled material. Having the enhanced grip and traction will allow you to run with comfort and confidence, even on varying terrain or up and down hills.
