Constructed with an anatomically, round profile frame made of permanently elastic spring steel, the backpack is stable and flexible, designed to follow the body's movements for ease of movement whilst transferring weight on the hips. Engineered to make heavier loads feel lightweight to carry, the Aircontact 45 + 5 boasts Deuter's Aircontact system. Designed to perfectly adapt to the wearer's back the backpack holds the load close to the body's centre of gravity for increased stability and even weight distribution. Further enhancing the stability Deuter have included a two-way adjustable sternum strap, that helps with distributing the weight of those heavier loads, this can be removed when not needed. The Aircontact system is breathable and cushioned allowing uncomfortable heat build-up trapped between the body and the bag to escape.

The stabilising Active Fit shoulder straps, with soft edges, adapt to the wearer's shoulder width and angle for increased comfort and even weight distribution. Additionally, load adjustment straps on the shoulder allow quick and easy adjustment for the optimal position of the backpack. The simple Clip and Loop back length adjustment allows you to customise the pack with ease, and the hip fins are made of multiple layers of soft, breathable padding. The fins evenly distribute the load evenly and avoid pressure points for increased comfort. The pull-forward function with side compression allows for quick and easy adjustment and fasting even when carrying heavy loads. This ensures a snug fit.
