The easiest way to carry heavy loads is when the backpack and wearer become one. This is what Deuter's Aircontact principle is all about: the body contact system brings the weight close to the body and therefore close to the centre of gravity. This results in full pack control and an effective load transfer. Furthermore, Deuter's Aircontact cushions are made from special hollow chamber foam that guarantees fantastic ventilation due to the pump effect of every movement. The system offers effective transition of weight through ergonomically cut, compact, ECL hip fins that custom fit the hips. Special pads precisely adjust to the hip and provide stable and comfortable hold of the load, while the back system can be adjusted to the individual back length quickly and easily for an optimal fit with the convenient length adjustment system. Even with heavy loads the hip belt is easy to adjust with its Pull-Forward construction. The multi-chamber aluminium X-frame allows the perfect load transfer to the hip belt thanks to its adjustability and flexibility.
The backpack offers a variety of storing solutions, ensuring you have enough space to take all your essential and valuable items that you wish to take with you. By offering you with multiple internal and external zippered pockets as well as mesh side pockets you can be assured that your valuable items and essential items can be quickly and easily accessed when needed. Furthermore, the backpack provides you with a wet laundry compartment that allows you to store dirty/wet clothes separately from your clean and dry clothes. The pack offers a bottom compartment with a removable separator for ideal gear access and load placement, allowing you to load the pack exactly how you want it. An SOS label inside the lid provides the most important tips in case of emergencies. Sternum straps stabilise the pack on the shoulders and prevent any slipping or irritation from occurring on the shoulders while hiking pole attachment loops and ice axe attachment loops allow you to safely store them away when not in use, there is also loops for attaching a helmet holder. Additional volume can be created through the extendible lid should you need some extra space, however volume can also be adjusted in the opposite way, with side compression straps to control the size of the pack. Lastly, the pack is hydration system compatible meaning you can stay hydrated while on the move throughout longer days hiking or overnight stops.
