On your wrist, Elevate wrist heart rate technology lets you monitor your heart rate without wearing a chest strap. It also measures your heart rate variability to calculate a stress score that helps you assess what level of activity your body is ready for.

Using a Pulse Ox sensor4, the Forerunner 255 estimates your blood oxygen saturation so you can see how well your body's absorbing oxygen when you sleep. This technology also shows when your body is likely to be at optimum performance so you can plan your day around peak activity times.

Advanced Performance Analytics

Through the Forerunner 255 you can receive personalised training and recovery insights to help you prepare for future races. It works to keep track of your maximal oxygen uptake during exercise and understands how external factors may affect your performance. The Forerunner uses this data to evaluate your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you're training productively, peaking or overreaching. It can also view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last seven days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent training history. The Forerunner 255 also allows you to view your entire week of daily suggested workouts, which adapt after every run to match your performance and recovery.

Push Notifications

The Forerunner 255 allows you to receive emails, texts and alert notifications right on your watch when paired with smartphone so you never miss a things.
