GPS Features

With the Fenix 9, you're free to go wherever your activities take you - thanks to multi-band GPS with SatIQ technology plus built-in sensors for a three-axis compass, gyroscope and barometric altimeter, which can track better in more challenging environments than GPS alone. Whether you're on or off-road, the network capabilities help you track how far, fast and hard you've gone. The tracking features of the Fenix use advanced running dynamics to find out your stride length, vertical ratio, time balance, and more with ease and feed them back to you through Garmin Connect. Safety and tracking features also make it exceptionally easy to share your location with your chosen contact should you get into any difficulty. The watch will send your real-time location to emergency contacts so you can be found easily should an emergency arise.

Button Controls And Touchscreen

Ensuring easy use during active days, the watch has trusted button controls that work in any environment, which enables you to easily use the watch without difficulty and features leakproof properties to prevent water from entering. A built-in speaker and microphone enable you to make and receive phone calls from your wrist when your watch is paired to your smartphone, and you can even use your smartphone's voice assistant to respond to text messages.

Multi-Sports

The perfect watch for all sports, the Fenix 9 lets you change things up with ease thanks to built-in activity profiles for running, cycling, swimming, triathlon, trail running, hiking, strength training and many more. For brick workouts and du/triathlon races, the auto multisport feature lets you switch sports with just one button press. The watch is compatible with over 100 activity profiles, featuring enhancements to the rowing and rucking activities. Improvements to the rowing profile help monitor fitness progress and dial in for intense workouts, while the extended rucking features enable you to set a target metric and change the pack weight you're carrying for more accurate tracking. Additionally, Garmin Epic lets you showcase your outdoor adventures even further and lets you record multiple activities across several days. A 40-metre dive rating lets you reach new depths with support for scuba and apnoea dive activities.

TopoActive Maps

Allowing you to explore with confidence, the Fenix 9 uses pre-loaded multicontinent TopoAcive maps. This allows you to access maps right from your watch quickly and easily, as well as maps for thousands of golf courses and ski resorts worldwide, so there are no limits on your adventures. The dynamic round-trip routing feature simplifies the planning of your runs or hikes. It allows you to set a target distance and provides turn-by-turn directions that adjust to ensure you return to your starting point on schedule. The Fenix 9 has smoother and more intuitive routable mapping, increasing confidence along your navigation - even if you change course along the way.

24/7 Health And Wellness Monitoring

The watch takes you beyond your sport and is equipped with 24/7 health and wellness monitoring, designed to help you optimise your recovery. Featuring elevated wrist heart rate technology, it allows you to monitor your heart rate without the need for a chest strap. Alongside counting steps and tracking sleep, the watch utilises heart rate data to provide information on calories burnt and to measure the intensity of your fitness activities. It also measures your heart rate variability to calculate a stress score that helps you assess what level of activity your body is ready for. The watch will also monitor your sleep to keep tabs on your well-being and how much restful sleep you're getting each night. The watch also shows enhanced stamina metrics, including stamina curve and stamina zones, to help you visualise how far, how fast and how long you can go based on your fitness gains and training history. Using a Pulse Ox sensor, the watch estimates your blood oxygen saturation so you can see how well your body is absorbing oxygen when you sleep. This technology also shows when your body is likely to be at optimum performance, so you can plan your day around peak activity times. Morning reports and training readiness features combine your health and training data for easier interpretation and analysis.

LED Flashlight

The Fenix 9 comes with a built-in LED flashlight with variable intensities and strobe modes to help give you greater awareness while you train at night and provide convenient illumination for when visibility conditions get tough. The flashlight has white and red lights to enhance visibility in a variety of surroundings.

Advanced Performance Analytics

Through the Fenix 9, you can receive personalised training and recovery insights to assist you in preparing for future activities. It tracks your maximal oxygen uptake during exercise and helps you understand how external factors might influence your performance. The watch utilises this data to evaluate your recent exercise history and performance indicators, informing you whether you are training productively, peaking, or overreaching. It can also view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last seven days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent training history. The watch also allows you to view your entire week of daily suggested workouts, which adapt after every run to match your performance and recovery.

Everyday Wearability

The Fenix 9 allows you to connect with online fitness communities close to you and all over the world. Garmin Connect is an online tool for tracking, analysing and sharing all activities captured by your watch with other members of the Garmin family. The watch automatically uploads your data to Garmin Connect so you're always sharing your progress and achievements. The watch allows you to receive emails, texts and alert notifications right on your watch when paired with a smartphone, so you never miss a thing. Leave your cash and cards at home; GarminPay contactless payments let you pay for purchases on the go, which allows you to pay for a post-workout coffee or energy bar to keep you going.
