Helly Hansen Straightline Lifaloft Jacket
The Helly Hansen Straightline Lifaloft Jacket is a favourite with the Canadian National Ski Team thanks to its longer silhouette and Lifaloft Insulation.
The Straightline Lifaloft is constructed from a 2-layer Helly Tech Professional fabric and fully insulated with 80g Lifaloft insulation, with brushed stretch panels for added breathability. It is super warm without added bulk, perfect those who choose the most direct line down the mountain. The jacket is fully seam-sealed, waterproof and windproof, completely protecting you from the elements. A durable water repellency treatment works to shed water and keep you dry, and YKK Aqua Guard water-resistant zippers prevent weather entry into the jacket and its pockets. Despite being waterproof and windproof, the Straightline does not compromise on breathability. Cool air is able to circulate the garment whilst hot air can escape, helping to prevent intolerable heat build-ups. Underarm ventilation zippers also help this, allowing you to get a burst of cool air when things start to heat up. Articulated sleeves allow for optimal mobility, whilst the detachable powder skirt prevents snow from getting up your jacket. The helmet-compatible hood is adjustable so that you can create the ideal fit, and also features a hi-vis brim to help increase your visibility in low-light conditions. Wrist gaiters with thumbholes provide extra warmth and coverage to the hands and prevent the sleeves from riding up during movement. The Straightline features an array of pockets for your ski essentials including dual handwarmer pockets, a chest pocket with goggle shammy, internal goggle and electronics pockets, a ski pass pocket and a LIFE pocket. This special pocket holds the secret to keeping smartphones alive longer. Developed in collaboration with PrimaLoft and using thermal resistant materials, the Life Pocket stays two times warmer than a regular ski jacket pocket. Lastly, this jacket integrates a RECCO Advanced Rescue System to help keep you safe. The RECCO reflector makes you searchable to rescuers should something bad happen. RECCO reflectors are lightweight passive transponders which require no power or activation to function. They consist of a diode and an antenna. The RECCO detector emits a directional radar signal, like the beam of a flashlight. When the radar signal hits the RECCO reflector, it is echoed back to the detector and points the rescuer in the direction of the victim. The closer the detector gets to the reflector the stronger the returned-signal, ultimately allowing the rescuer to pinpoint the victim's location.
