The upper has been engineered with the innovative GORE-TEX Surround technology, which offers 360 degrees of climate control around your feet. Highly breathable without compromising on durable waterproof protection, your feet will stay dry and comfortable even on hot summers day hikes up the mountainside. A water repellent structured mesh material features on the outer layer of the upper, which further enhances the waterproof qualities of the shoe. Synthetic overlays also feature to offer extra structure, making sure you stay supported on rugged terrain and longer hikes.
A full length EVA midsole offers extensive cushioning and protection from rough or rocky ground, allowing you to hike in comfort without worrying about your feet. Furthermore, Gel cushioning has been strategically placed in the rear foot for further shock absorption on impact and comfort over long distances. A TPU heel counter also adds further stability for smooth transitions, especially when walking over uneven ground. An Ortholite foot bed further enhances the comfort and cushioning of the shoes, while also wicking moisture away to reduce slipping from occurring within during warm weather.
Developed using Asics High Abrasion Resistant Plus rubber compounds on the heel area of these shoes, the outsole offers high levels of durability to protect against rough terrain. This material has an abrasion resistance around three times higher than average rubber, making it ideal for the trails. An engineered stud pattern also improves the traction, allowing you to grip on a variety of surfaces both wet and dry.
