A Pertex Quantum fabrication uses incredibly fine yarns, precisely woven to provide a very lightweight yet strong and durable fabric. Its softness allows down and synthetic insulation to fully loft. The Rip-Stop outer provides excellent durability whilst a superior DWR coating which ensures the gilet is water-resistant. An 800 CUIN fillpower is constructed of 90% down and 10% feather to bring a breathable but warm insulation. The outside layer of the vest is tough, with resistance to damage from tears. It also acts as a windshield, blocking it from entering and making you feel cold. The durable water-resistant material wicks away moisture, preventing it from entering the jacket, and is produced using harmful hydrocarbon free materials.
A wind baffle with integrated chin guard provides added weather protection by preventing wind chill on your neck and lower face whilst elasticated armholes provide a comfortable fit and better heat retention. Handwarmer pockets can be used in colder weather to keep your hand protected from blustery winds or to store essential items. Lastly, the vest is also packable as it can be folded into its own pocket for swift and easy storage.
