Dri-Tec Upper

Surrounding the upper of the Ortler is a Dri-Tec membrane. This completely breathable membrane will seal out all moisture, preventing it from entering when the rain falls or walking through damp grass. In addition to this, the membrane will also allow a steady flow of air in and out of the boots. This will mean that you will always feel ventilated and comfortable no matter what. Warm air that builds up escapes out, where it is then replaced by cooler air. This process will carry on as your activity intensifies, resulting in constant comfort no matter what. The upper is also constructed using premium tumbled full grain leather. Acting as a waterproof, this will also provide you with outstanding durability, standing up against forces to keep the material protected and in good condition. The comfortable fit will allow you to keep going for mile after mile without any irritations. Thick material covers the toes and the heel, providing extra protection to these vulnerable spots. The full lacing system with metal eyelets will allows you to secure the fit to feel personalised all the way up the foot. Towards the top of the upper, the padded tongue and ankle collar offer comfort, ventilation and also act as a barrier to prevent dirt and debris from entering.

Compression Moulded EVA Midsole

The compression moulded EVA midsole offers long-lasting cushioning; the compression moulded EVA attenuates shock impact reducing strain on the body and diminishing fatigue whilst offering plush underfoot cushioning so you can go further for longer. An additional compression moulded EVA contoured sockliner offers hygenic cushioning from the instep. The removable Ortholite sockliner boasts moisture-wicking properties moving sweat and moisture away from the skin to the surface of the fabric where it evaporates for dry, cool comfort. The Ortholite sockliner provides additional underfoot cushioning for maximum comfort out on the trail.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Engineered to keep you under firm control, no matter how uneven and muddy the ground below is, the M-D Traction outsole will ensure that grip is one less thing for you to worry about. The durable and abrasion resistant rubber maintain its shape and profile no matter what the levels of abuse below are like. The rubber will also be able to form a solid bond with a wide range of surface, giving you a firm base to push off from. Deep lugs will dig into the wet and muddy ground, anchoring your foot in place. The lugs are also strategically placed to aid with movements like braking, forward motions and changes of direction. The outsole is also designed to clean itself, which will mean that mud that gathers on the outsole is quickly removed, allowing optimal performance from the boot.
