Built from DAC's proprietary aluminium alloy, the frame of the chair is resistant against heavy weights and is strong for repetitive and long-term use. With nylon resin hubs acting as joints within the chair, weight is evenly distributed throughout and prevents warping under stress. Corners of the chair have added reinforcements to better hold and support weight while keeping the weight low. High-tech GhostGrid fabric is crafted from translucent monofilament grid ripstop to keep the seat both lightweight and abrasion resistant against possible snags and bumps during setup due to the high-tenacity weave. Included with the Chair Zero LT is an X-Strap which easily loops onto the chair's feet for a greater increase in surface area to prevent sinking on soft ground such as sand, dirt and grass. The seat is also easily set up with shock-corded poles that lock the frame into place and is efficient in packing up. When not in use, the chair is easy to transport, fitting in a monofilament fabric bag for compact and lightweight transportation.

In regard to the X-Strap, Helinox suggests avoiding prolonged contact with abrasive surfaces such as gravel and rock to preserve the integrity of materials and prevent premature wear. A little extra care on rough terrain goes a long way in maintaining peak performance.
