TPU Yarn Upper

Surrounding the upper of the Clifton Edge is embossed TPU yarn, delivering a premium finish with targeted support in the forefoot and eyerow. This material is exceptionally thin, which means it allows a constant flow of air in and out for exceptional breathability and ventilation. In addition to this, the upper will encourage moisture to escape, before wicking it away to keep your feet feeling dry and comfortable, and the shoe feeling lightweight. The TPU yarn holds the feet securely in place, reducing the risk of slipping around in the shoe, but it also offers a lot of room in the toe box for them to naturally splay. This means that you will always feel comfortable whilst being under control. Firm overlays will provide further strength and structure to ensure a locked down feel, as well as keeping the feet held in a healthy position. The laces are secure, and will provide a personalised and comfortable fit. A soft and padded tongue sits comfortably on the ankle, preventing any irritation being caused. The collar is also padded, which will keep enhance the comfort all the way around the ankle. Putting the shoes on is easy to do, with a vertical pull tab which will allow adjustments to the fit. Reflective elements on the tongue and the rear of the shoe will improve your visibility during night time running.

High Resiliency Foam Midsole

Early-stage Meta-Rocker geometry is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency, for a responsive ride. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe off. The new, high resiliency foam offers a lightweight, springy take on signature HOKA cushioning. It is extremely springy, which will give you effective response when running to push you on further and faster, retaining energy well. In addition to this, the midsole will cushion each step, which will take weight off joints like the knees and ankles. This will again give you less things to worry about, as it will take help to retain your working muscles and reduce the risk of injuries. An extended heel will create a softer landing zone, whilst it will also guarantee that you have a smoother transition from heel to toes. The midsole platform is wide, which will disperse energy evenly throughout the midsole. This will mean that you will always have a stable platform to push on from.

Rubberised EVA Outsole

The rubberised EVA outsole delivers lightweight, wraparound midsole support with a snappy feel. Using durable rubber on the outsole, this will give you exceptional grip to a wide range of different surfaces. The rubber forms a strong bond with the ground, which will hold your feet in place, giving you a springboard to push on from. The rubber will retain its shape and definition when exposed to hard surfaces, which will improve the long term functionality of it. Multi-directional grooves on the outsole will further anchor you in place, in particularly on wet ground.
