Engineered Mesh Upper
The Solimar features a newly engineered, ultra-light mesh upper that is airy and smooth. The upper is seamless on the outside for a sleek look and clean silhouette and only has a few seams on the inside. The mesh wraps each foot in breathable comfort, allowing air to fully permeate the entire upper. Although lightweight, this mesh upper remains resilient enough for you to be able to put it through any workout. Furthermore, this construction provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides within the shoes during intense activity. An anatomical Achilles construction helps to mitigate any rubbing or chafing while pull tabs assist in easily removing the shoe. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which helps to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement.
EVA Midsole
A late-stage Meta-Rocker geometry is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. In the Solimar, the transition zone is placed behind the metatarsal heads; this helps create a smoother ride and a faster transition to the forefoot. A full-length platform of new and improved EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft, and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces whilst adding an energetic response with each step.
High Abrasion Rubber Outsole
Designed to be flexible and durable, the outsole of the Hoka Solimar Running Shoes has been constructed using a high abrasion rubber. Placed strategically on high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel, the rubber increase durability and resist the traumas of heel strikes to bring you a long-lasting running buddy. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control across a wide range of different terrain over a long period of time. Forming a solid bond with the ground, the outsole will anchor you into place, keeping you in a strong and controlled position. Completing the outsole are flex grooves which encourage multi-directional movements.
