Knit and Jacquard Engineered Mesh Upper

Constructed with a recycled, vegan yarn mesh the Hoka Carbon X 3 Running Shoes offers a secure fit that hugs the foot for optimum comfort and flexibility, whilst remaining highly breathable. The dynamic sandwich mesh helps to enhance breathability throughout your runs by allowing cool air to permeate the fabric, uncomfortable heat build-up is removed creating a healthy environment feet can thrive in. This combination upper provides a secure, locked-in feel to the foot. This prevents in-shoe slippage for more steady footing. A gusseted tongue provides you with a lightweight mid-foot lockdown ensuring that your feet remain in place. Cushioning around the ankle keeps you comfortable providing you with cushioning whilst you're on the go and an extended heel pull tab has been designed for further comfort. Lastly, the upper has been constructed using recycled content in the double engineered mesh and recycled polyester laces.

Carbon Fibre Midsole

Designed using many midsole densities, the Carbon X 3 ensures cushioning, comfort and most of all propulsion. The Profly midsole cushions the tread and offers a more resounding boost along with a propulsive experience by protecting you during a heel strike and propelling you forward for a firm toe-off. A softer density has been used on the top to increase underfoot comfort and provide the perfect amount of resilience and response. Additionally, a super light bottom layer works to increase energy return and ground contact for you can go further for longer with peace of mind that your footwear can take you anywhere. The bottom density is also abrasion resistant and works to reduce the risks of wear and tear. A carbon fibre plate curls under the lateral toes to deliver a smoother transition throughout the gait cycle. The carbon plate minimises energy loss, increases propulsion and deliver an abundance of structural support making running feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PB's. The carbon plate helps to maintain the meta-rocker which lies underfoot and as a result, the two technologies work in tandem to amplify the rocker's benefits. The aggressive Meta-Rocker is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. The carbon fibre plate continues to provide a smooth transition without sacrificing the soft, lightweight feel.

Rubberised Foam Outsole

A flexible and durable outsole complete the Carbon X 3. Rubberised foam is used to enhance responsiveness, increase traction and ensure high rebound cushioning. The foam outsole ensures lightweight responsiveness so you can go further for longer making this a shoe you can truly rely on. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control across a wide range of different terrain over a long period of time. Forming a solid bond with the ground, the outsole will anchor you into place, keeping you in a strong and controlled position.
