Hoka Rocket X Men's Trail Running Shoes

When a trail calls for all-out speed, change into the new Rocket X Trail. With an aggressive, road-racing-inspired rocker and H-shaped carbon-fibre plate for dynamic propulsion, this gravel-eater is begging to be set loose. From the pared-back, super-secure upper to the responsive dual-layer midsole to its lightweight, minimal outsole, this shoe was devised specifically for cruising buff dirt and gravel roads at top speed.

Breathable Mesh Upper

Designed using a breathable mesh upper, the Rocket X allows cool air to circulate while removing uncomfortable heat build-up, helping to regulate temperature and create a healthy environment where feet can thrive. The sleek, minimal tongue sits close to the foot, helping reduce irritation from rubbing. The stretchy, patent-pending dynamic vamp allows for more accommodation in the forefoot, allowing your toes to splay. A traditional lacing system completes the upper, locking the midfoot for a secure fit and preventing in-shoe slippage.

A-TPU Midsole

Supplying you with an exceptional ride, the Rocket X utilises an A-TPU foam midsole to provide a highly cushioned, responsive ride. The foam compound adapts to your stride, providing a great balance of support and flexibility. Not only this, but it helps to reduce injury by providing a softer base, cushioning your landing with every stride taken. Within the midsole, a newly designed H-shaped parallel carbon fibre plate helps to deliver a smoother transition throughout the gait cycle. The carbon plate minimises energy loss, increases propulsion and delivers an abundance of structural support, making running feel effortless and giving you extra confidence.

Zonal Rubber Outsole

With increased traction, the Rocket X ensures optimal grip with every step. When trail running, it is imperative to have assured footing, with difficult, unpredictable terrain often causing obstacles and challenges to your performance. The Rocket X boasts a sticky Zonal rubber outsole, delivering plenty of grip and traction to fill you with confidence as you take to the trails. The highly durable outsole can maintain its high level of performance no matter what is put in its path. The long-lasting rubber protects itself from uneven surfaces, abrasions, and scrapes. Strategically placed, the rubber outsole assists with movements like take-offs, landings, and sudden direction changes. Multi-directional lugs complete the outsole, providing the grip required to conquer all trails.
