Hoka Hopara 2 Men's Walking Sandals
Equally at home by land or water, the Hopara 2 tackles mud, dirt and rocks with the same amphibian-like ease. Reconceived with earth-conscious materials, Hoka has implemented a 30% sugarcane topsole and midsole, a 100% recycled knit upper and 100% recycled Cordura mesh overlays to allow for water drainage while keeping trail debris at bay.
Knit Upper
The upper of the Hoka Hopara 2 utilises a 100% recycled knit upper with a water-repellent treatment that protects in changing weather. The knit fabric is soft against the skin, reducing the risk of chafing and irritation for a comfortable feel all day. Additionally, the fabric allows air to flow while simultaneously releasing hot, muggy air, keeping your feet cool and comfortable. To increase durability, the sandals utilise 100% recycled Cordura mesh and ripstop overlays, highly abrasion-resistant fabrics that keep the sandals in top condition longer, for a long-lasting pair of footwear. A rubber toecap protects against bumps, scrapes and trail debris, so you can adventure safely. Finishing the upper of the Hopara 2, providing a secure fit, is an adjustable heel strap which holds the heel in place whilst a quick-toggle lacing system locks down the midfoot for reduced movement.
EVA Midsole
The Hopara 2 has been created with an EVA foam that has been partly made with 30% sugarcane. The combination of the two materials enhances the sandals' durability, whilst providing a softer feel than the previous model. The sandals also feature a topsole layer, made with sugarcane for a soft underfoot feel. The Hoka-specific feature, Meta-Rocker Geometry, also features in the midsole. This technology was specifically designed with a low heel-to-toe differential and sculpted outsole in the heel and toe, which creates a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair for your foot, encouraging a guided gait cycle.
Sticky Rubber Outsole
These sandals feature a sticky and durable outsole that ensures grip on multiple surfaces even when wet. Multi-directional lugs offer excellent traction on multiple surfaces, whilst the broad lug pattern enhances grip in wet conditions. Grooves on the outsole allow the foot to flex more naturally, providing a better feel when walking over uneven terrain.
