Constructed using engineered mesh, the uppers of the Rincon 5 wrap your feet in breathable, fresh comfort. Perforations throughout the materials encourage cool air to flow freely, releasing built-up heat, preventing overheating and keeping feet comfortable during the most intense periods. Moisture-wicking properties prevent sweat and moisture buildup, keeping feet dry on your run. A padded tongue and collar sit comfortably against your skin for all-day comfort, keeping you well-contained in the shoes. Combined with a traditional lacing system, the shoes lock down the midfoot and reduce in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides. Reflective elements complete the upper, keeping you safe and enhancing visibility during low-light adventures, allowing you to train in the morning and at night.
CMEVA Midsole
Utilising a compression-moulded EVA foam, the Rincon 5 provides both cushioning and a lightweight feel, making this perfect for everyday use. This durable foam spares your joints when striking hard, unforgiving surfaces; it absorbs shocks, then releases them as a rebound, adding spring to your step. Smooth Meta-Rocker Geometry has been added to improve running efficiency, creating a smoother ride and faster transitions. This enhances stability and a smoother transition from midfoot landing to toe-off. Hoka has also added an extra 3mm of foam compared to the previous Rincon, increasing comfort underfoot.
Durabrasion Outsole
Completing the Rincon 5 is a grippy Durabrasion outsole. Using a podular design, the shoes form a solid bond with the ground, anchoring you in place for a strong, controlled position while reducing the weight to keep you light on your feet. The rubber is strategically placed in high-wear areas to resist heel-strike trauma and bring you a long-lasting running companion. The durable rubber provides plenty of grip to keep you in control across various terrains. Well-placed flex grooves increase natural mobility while moving, perfect for recovery runs and walking.
