Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale

For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.

The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.

Inov8 have graded the F- Lite 195 V2 Training Shoes as Grade 2.

Lightweight Knit Upper

The upper of the shoe is extremely lightweight and breathable. By being so, this ensures that the overall weight of the shoe is kept to a minimum. The construction of the knit also allows a steady airflow in and out of the shoe. This will transfer warm air that has built up within the shoe to the outside, whilst cooler air is allowed in to replace it. Using inov-8's META-FLEX technology, natural flexing in the forefoot is allowed, whilst the MET-CRADLE holds the foot in a secure and protected position. Covering the toes, the material is thicker which will protect them from bumps and knocks. Similarly, the heel has strong walls surrounding it, which will hold you in a firm and upright position, preventing it from rolling under pressure. Easy to fasten and tighten laces with a padded tongue ensure maximum security and comfort.

EVA Midsole

The foot is cushioned comfortably as it has a spongey EVA midsole. As downward force is applied to the shoe, the EVA gently cushions the sole of the foot, which will provide you with supreme comfort. In addition to this, the EVA is also able to absorb heavy impacts and shocks instantly, preventing them from reaching the sole of the foot. As well as preventing impacts from reaching the foot, the EVA transfers these into rebound, giving you an extra boost on every step. A soft insole within the shoe gently moulds to the foot shape to prevent it from slipping, whilst it is also designed to prevent rubbing and chafing which could lead to blisters. The heel to toe drop in the midsole is 3mm. This will increase stability and the foot is brought closer to the ground, and in addition to adding balance, this makes the shoe more responsive.

Durable Outsole

The extremely durable rubber outsole is able to create a firm and strong bond with hard surfaces. This will provide you with solid grip and traction, making sure that you will always be in control. Using inov-8's ROPE-TEC system, traction and durability is delivered in climbing ropes, as well as gripping other narrow surfaces. The outsole allows you to flex the foot without causing any damage to the shoe, opening up a range of movements possible in your workout.
