Ripstop Upper

Redesigned to increase comfort and keep you protected on trail runs, the Mudtalon Speed V2 feature a durable risptop upper. The durable materials are super reliable for long-lasting use, whilst having a seamless structure to prevent irritation or chafing. Protecting you from muddy terrain and tacky trails, the shoes help prevent feet from becoming uncomfortable, and moisture-wicking properties keep feet dry under pressure by dispersing excess sweat. Unique to Inov8, the shoes feature a Wide Fit NATURALFIT foot-shaped design, which has a secure fit around your heel and midfoot, and a widened toe box. This gives your toes ample space to splay naturally when you land and push off, optimising your comfort and performance. The Wide Fit version is perfect for those with wider feet or those going on long-distance trail runs to accommodate swelling feet. Suitable for all types of trail running endeavours, the Mudtalon Speed V2 utilise drainage holes for quick-draining comfort, meaning water will exit quickly, allowing you to venture through boggy hills and muddy fells. An update to their predecessors, the slimmed-down, lightly padded tongue provides you with a sleek fit and a faster feel, to reduce slipping. To ensure distraction-free, comfortable runs, the redesigned upper pattern increases midfoot lockdown when tightening the laces to provide you with a secure, locked-in fit and stability when tackling steep downhill descents and tricky uphill ascents.

Stay fast and comfortable when facing the hills head-on. This new generation of the Mudtalon Speed adapts your foot to the ground below by featuring an updated, innovative POWERFLOW PRO foam. The structure is super lightweight to keep you bouncy and light on your feet, with high levels of cushioning to ensure soft underfoot responsiveness, and still ensuring ground adaptability for running over uneven technical terrain. Slightly firmer for increasing the lifespan of the shoes, the Mudtalon Speed V2 midsole keeps you energetic over tricky trails, bouncing effortlessly into every stride and returning energy, to reduce the risks of injury over tough surfaces. This midsole also features a flexible META-PLATE rock plate, placed between the midsole and outsole. The plate shields feet from harsh, sharp surfaces and protects from tough objects, whilst still being flexible for natural movement of your feet. Finally, a 6mm BOOMERANG footbed adds extra levels of soft, shock-absorbing comfort and outstanding energy return to ensure fresh feet.

STICKYGRIP Rubber Outsole

Inov8 have also improved the outsole of the Mudtalon series by reformulating their iconic STICKYGRIP rubber. Although providing the same ultimately dependable grip and traction, this update has a 36% increase in grip on wet terrain, for slip-resistant stability. This sticky traction keeps you confident on all types of terrain, so whether you're pushing through thick, sloppy mud or traversing treacherous wet rocks, the outsole of the Mudtalon Speed V2 is one you can truly depend on. Working confidently with this are aggressive 8mm lugs, a signature of the Mudtalon series.
